Students are required to give presentations on the progress of their projects at regular intervals.
Shortly after their admission, first-year students are invited to present their project to the programme’s Faculty members, who will then appoint a supervisor for them.
First- and second-year students will illustrate their work to the Faculty and their peers on a dedicated day in the spring (i.e., approximately six months into the academic year). Third-year students will act as moderators and discussants.
First-year students’ presentations last 10 minutes and focus on changes made to the original project, as well as reasons for changes or issues encountered during the first months of activity. Second-year students’ presentations last 20 minutes and must illustrate the topic their study, the questions addressed, the research methodology, the state of the project and the work planned for the following months. The content of the presentation should be accessible to specialists and non-specialists alike.
All presentations must be approved in advance by thesis supervisors. Presentations are followed by 10 minutes of discussion during which peers and professors can provide feedback and offer suggestions.
